residential schoolyards
and abandoned fields
SPIRITS WERE WHISPERING ...
Once upon a time, a war was fought to save the world from the greatest menace to human freedom ever seen on our planet.
In a country called Canada, soldiers enlisted in a heroic mission to stop Hitler's armies from killing and enslaving millions. Many of these soldiers lost their lives over in Europe, fighting against the forces of tyranny.
After the victory, the survivors came home and took up normal lives. The lucky ones married, started families, and moved to the suburbs.
Their children grew up during the Cold War.
They went to school in the 1950s and 60s, where they learned all about human rights and democracy.
But the secret government had other plans.
This is where our story begins.
